Clubs- Strategy Club

Strategy Club is ran by Mr. Surmacz and Mr. Hansen, and the students love their club! Our staff interviewed 4 students about their experiences in Strategy Club.

Strategy Club is a place where kids get to go to play games that require thinking and a strategy. Examples of these games are Risk, Monopoly, Sequence, Apples to Apples, and Skipbo. The kids in this club said that that they joined Strategy Club to challenge their minds, while also having fun with their friends. The students like the different options of games to choose from. They can pick games that they have never played before. Aubrie Thomas, an 8th grader in Strategy Club told our staff, "I like Strategy Club because I get too meet and play games with kids from all the grades, and then I get to take those skills that I learned in the game and apply them to the real world." All 4 of the students we interviewed said that Mr. Surmacz was the better game player. Looks like Mr. Hansen will have to think of a strategy to win the kids over!
