Knitting Club is a new addition to the SMS Clubs, and it was a big hit!
Knitting Club is an opportunity for kids to let their creative juices flow. Kids make different things out of yarn in this club. Jayna Gonzalez, an active member of the Knitting Club, said, "I like this club because it gives me a chance to be creative. I like that I can make anything I like, including hats, scarves, bracelets, potholders, and all sorts of things." Many members like this club because it gives the freedom. The club advisors aren't constantly telling them what to do. Volunteers from Chambers Hill Elementary School and Chambers Hill United Methodist Church help out with this club. They teach kids how to properly knit and how to make different things out of yarn! Knitting Club is here to stay!
