March 8, 2019: This was the day that Swatara Middle held the thrilling, enormous pep rally.

We have asked some of the competitors about their experience in the competition.

In the pep rally, there were 4 competitions:

Jump Rope

Build 2019 with your Bodies

Tissue Box Challenge

Fortnite Dance Challenge

We interviewed a couple of people from the event. Here is what they said:

Q: Were you embarrassed to dance in front of the whole school? “The competition was very competitive, but fun!" - Jayden

“It wasn’t as competitive as I thought it would be.” -Nate

Q: Why did you pick this activity? “It was so fun jumping in hoops,  and doing rock paper scissors.” -Aaushma “Jumping ropes sounded the best option for me. I thought it would be fun and it was!”

- Calvin “Actually, at first I didn’t even think of being in the pep rally. But my teacher and friends insisted, so I decided to join.” -Nate

Q: How competitive was the competition?

“Very, we all wanted to win.” -Aaushma “It wasn’t very competitive to me. Everyone was friendly and I didn’t think much of it.”

-Crystela “Honestly, it wasn’t at all competitive. It was more fun and exciting than competitive.”

-Calvin & Nate

After the pep rally ended, everyone was deciding who was the best in the Fortnite Dance Challenge. Everyone concluded that Nate was the best at it.  So this last follow-up question goes out to him.

Q:How does it feel to be called ‘the best’?— “Awesome! It was very great. I’m glad I actually tried hard to win. But everyone kind of won and there was no real winner.” -Nate
